Job Summary:

As an HVAC Technician, you will install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot heating, air conditioning, ventilation, refrigeration, and related mechanical systems. You will ensure optimal equipment performance, energy efficiency, and a safe, comfortable environment for our clients. This position offers a mix of field service, mechanical diagnostics, customer interaction, and hands-on problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including AC units, furnaces, heat pumps, and refrigeration equipment
  • Inspect, diagnose, and resolve mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools (including ohmmeters and gauges)
  • Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings
  • Perform routine system maintenance to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment life
  • Troubleshoot and repair wiring, components, and control systems
  • Conduct field service visits and provide professional customer care
  • Provide technical support and recommendations for system performance and energy efficiency
  • Assist with system upgrades, design modifications, ductwork repairs, PVC repairs, and general mechanical upkeep
  • Ensure all work aligns with building codes, safety standards, and company procedures
  • Run after-hours/emergency calls as needed
  • Maintain accurate service records, job notes, and work logs
  • Operate company vehicles safely and professionally

Qualifications:

  • HVAC experience required
  • EPA certification required
  • NATE certification is a plus
  • Proven experience as an HVAC Technician or similar field service role
  • Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills
  • Ability to read schematics, technical drawings, and HVAC design plans
  • Experience with refrigeration systems and refrigerant handling procedures
  • Welding experience for repair or fabrication tasks is a plus
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Able to pass a drug test and background check
  • Must have basic hand tools and testing instruments
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Ethical, dependable, and able to work independently or on a team
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Sales experience or willingness to engage customers in recommendations is desirable
