Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation, cooking, and food safety, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic kitchen setting, contributing to menu creation and ensuring exceptional dining experiences for our guests. Candidates with culinary experience, fine dining background, or restaurant experience are highly encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
- Assist in menu planning and daily specials to enhance guest satisfaction
- Ensure all food is prepared safely and in compliance with food handling regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other culinary tools
- Support food presentation and plating to meet quality standards
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy hours
- Adhere to food safety protocols and sanitation procedures at all times
- Assist with catering orders and special event meal preparations as needed
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or culinary roles within a restaurant or food service environment
- Knowledge of dietary department practices and dietary aide experience is a plus
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques
- Familiarity with menu planning, food safety standards, and food handling procedures
- Experience working in fine dining or high-volume kitchens is preferred
- Excellent teamwork, communication skills, and ability to work under pressure
- Ability to follow recipes accurately and maintain consistency in dish quality
- Prior experience in catering or serving is advantageous but not required
