Litigation Associate Attorney

We are an AV Rated Boutique Litigation Firm with a statewide practice seeking a skilled and ambitious Litigation Attorney to join our legal team. As a Litigation Attorney, you will be responsible for providing defense counsel professional services to our clients in civil lawsuits and providing legal advice on litigation matters. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in legal research, drafting legal documents and litigating cases. We are seeking candidates that want courtroom experience and handling high end litigation.

Duties:

• Conduct legal research and analysis on various litigation matters
• Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
• Represent clients in mediations, hearings and trials
• Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients
• Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals to develop case strategies
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and documentation
• Stay informed about current laws, regulations, and legal trends related to litigation

Experience:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• Admitted to practice law in the state of West Virginia
• Some experience as a Litigation Attorney
• Strong knowledge of West Virginia law and procedures
• Proficient in conducting legal research using Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide effective solutions
• Ability and desire to work as a member of a Litigation Team
