Logistics Manager- Nightshift

Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Logistics Manager for the Nightshift to lead our overnight logistics operations. Duties

• Lead and supervise nightshift logistics teams responsible for order fulfillment, shipping & receiving, picking & packing, and materials handling to ensure timely operations.
• Oversee warehouse management systems (WMS) and transportation management systems (TMS) to monitor inventory levels, coordinate transportation planning, and optimize warehouse distribution processes.
• Manage procurement activities including sourcing, purchasing, pricing negotiations, and category management to maintain optimal stock levels and supply chain efficiency.
• Coordinate with third-party logistics providers (3PL), freight carriers, NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier), and fleet management teams to ensure smooth transportation flow and compliance with regulations.
• Implement process improvements utilizing data analysis skills, supply chain analytics, CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System), ERP systems like AS400 or equivalent to enhance operational efficiency.
• Conduct demand planning, inventory management, and inventory control to prevent stock discrepancies while supporting e-commerce order fulfillment.
• Ensure safety protocols are followed during materials handling, forklift operation, dispatching, and warehouse activities while maintaining a safe working environment.
• Analyze operational data regularly to identify opportunities for cost savings, efficiency gains, and service enhancements across the supply chain.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in supply chain management, warehouse management, or logistics operations with a focus on nightshift roles.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management systems, warehouse distribution processes, transportation planning, and freight operations.
• Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse management system (WMS), ERP platforms such as AS400 or similar software.
• Excellent data analysis skills with the ability to interpret logistics metrics and implement process improvements accordingly.
• Demonstrated ability to manage procurement activities including sourcing and category management.
• Experience with materials handling equipment such as forklifts; certification preferred.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams during overnight shifts while ensuring safety compliance.
• Effective communication skills for coordinating with internal teams and external partners like 3PL providers or carriers.
