Audit Manager - Assurance Practice

Atlanta, GA (North Atlanta metro)

• On-Site/Hybrid (2 days in office)

Our client is a growing regional CPA firm seeking an experienced
Audit Manager
to lead audit and assurance engagements while developing talent and strengthening client relationships across a variety of industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage, and execute audit and review engagements, including budgets, staffing, and audit programs
  • Identify and resolve complex accounting, auditing, and client operational issues
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships; identify cross-selling opportunities for additional services
  • Perform risk assessment, determine materiality, and analyze interim and year-end financial statements
  • Review internal controls, audit plans, workpapers, financial statements, audit reports, and management letters
  • Delegate and supervise work while ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to professional standards
  • Provide leadership, coaching, training, and timely feedback, and performance evaluations to staff, seniors, and supervisors
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients across multiple industries

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • Active CPA license (required)
  • 5+ years of progressive public accounting audit & assurance experience (regional or local firm experience strongly preferred, no big 4)
  • Deep industry experience in two or more of the following sectors: ∘ Manufacturing ∘ Distribution / Wholesale ∘ Software / Technology ∘ Staffing ∘ Professional Services
  • Proven client relationship management and business development skills
  • Strong technical accounting and auditing knowledge with the ability to research and resolve complex issues
  • Excellent project management, analytical, and judgment skills
  • Demonstrated success leading, developing, and mentoring teams
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills (including preparation of financial statements and reports)
  • Experience with ProSystems Engagement is a plus
