Sheet Metal Mechanic

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Mechanic to join our Mechanical contracting team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing ductwork/sheet metal in various industrial applications. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should be detail-oriented and capable of interpreting technical drawings and specifications to ensure precise execution of tasks.

Responsibilities

• Install, assemble, and repair sheet metal components according to technical drawings and specifications
• Use hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, and fit sheet metal parts accurately
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot complex mechanical problems and implement effective solutions
• Follow safety protocols and industry standards at all times during operations

Experience

• Proven experience as a Sheet Metal Mechanic or similar role within an industrial or manufacturing setting
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics
• Familiarity with electrical testing tools such as ohmmeters is highly desirable
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a dynamic environment
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and precision
• Prior experience with maintenance or installation of sheet metal systems is preferred but not required

Pay: $ $34.00 per hour
