Reports to: General Manager, Senior CAM

Position Summary

Work directly with the Senior CAM to ensure the successful operation of the Community. Executes the essential function of Assistant Community Association Manager (CAM) responsibilities when on duty.

  • Delivers and promotes prompt, courteous, and outgoing friendly service to all residents, guests, and fellow employees.
  • Support Senior CAM with handling confidential and non-routine information and explaining policies, rules, and regulations when necessary, and perform daily tasks and special projects as assigned.
  • Document and send all communication regarding ARC regulations i.e. compliance, and fines.
  • Direct and coordinate the activities of contracted vendors and evaluate their performance.
  • Facilitate and prepare for Annual and Board of Directors meetings with Senior CAM.
  • Investigate complaints, disturbances, and violations and resolve problems following rules and regulations as directed by the Senior CAM.
  • Use exceptional telephone etiquette to answer incoming calls, assist as needed, direct to appropriate personnel, and deliver messages. Take personal responsibility, respond clearly, and follow up with members, guests, or staff to ensure their requests have been addressed, thereby elevating sensitive situations for others to address.
  • Inspect grounds, facilities, and equipment to determine the necessity of repairs or maintenance while working with the maintenance supervisor.
  • Maintain records of maintenance and operating costs as well as all related Association documents.
  • Purchase supplies as directed by the Board of Directors.
  • Assist the Board with the selection of vendors and manage contracts for the provision of Association services such as cleaning, maintenance, and security services as directed.
  • Confer regularly with community association members to ensure their needs are met.
  • Able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize, and organize a diversified workload.
  • Prepare for and attend all meetings of the ARC.
  • Prepare for and attend all meetings of the Compliance Committee.
  • Prepare for and attend all meetings of the Safety and Security Committee.

  • Technical proficiency: Experience with property management software and Microsoft Office Suite is highly valued.
  • Problem-solving: The ability to calmly and diplomatically handle complaints and conflict resolution is crucial.

Education/Certificates/Licenses/Training:

High School Diploma required. Must have an active and current CAM License and keep up with all CEU classes to maintain the CAM License.
