Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Manager to oversee and enhance our quality systems within a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with industry standards such as SQF, ISO 9001, FDA regulations, HACCP, CGMP, and other relevant quality standards. This leadership role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining quality assurance protocols to guarantee product safety, efficacy, and compliance. The Quality Assurance Manager will lead quality audits, manage quality control processes, and foster a culture of continuous improvement across all departments.
Duties
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive quality management systems aligned withISO 9001, SQF, FDA regulations, HACCP, and CGMP standards.
- Lead internal and external quality audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Oversee quality control and inspection processes throughout manufacturing to identify and address product or process deviations.
- Manage documentation related to quality assurance activities, including audit reports, non-conformance reports, and corrective action plans.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to quality systems during product development and manufacturing phases.
- Conduct analysis of quality data to identify trends and areas for process improvement.
- Provide training and guidance on quality systems, policies, and procedures to staff at all levels.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies such as the FDA and international standards governing medical devices or related products.
- Lead project management initiatives related to quality improvements or new system implementations.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of SQF, ISO 9001, FDA regulations, HACCP, CGMP, and related quality standards.
- Proven experience in conducting quality audits and inspections within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of quality control techniques and quality inspection processes.
- Expertise in developing and managing quality assurance programs and systems.
- Excellent analytical skills for data analysis and problem-solving related to product quality issues.
- Effective project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication skills for training staff and presenting audit findings or improvement plans.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing regulatory requirements while maintaining high standards of compliance. - Minimum four (4) years' experience in food packaging manufacturing
- Food Safety (SQF/BRC) and HACCP certification preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $ $40.00 per hour
