Customer Associate

Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated Customer Associate to join our team. The Customer Associate's role is vital for increasing sales, delivering outstanding customer service, and assisting in product fulfillment. This position also demands the adaptability to transition between our retail store and multiple off-site events as well as the ability to pivot between essential responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to learn about our products, along with a genuine enthusiasm for contributing to our team's success.

Essential Responsibilities:

Sales:

• Engage with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions that focus on product features, benefits and pricing.
• Achieve sales goals through effective communication and product promotion.
• Stock shelves and merchandise displays as needed.
• Maintain store cleanliness to ensure presence is neat and attractive and in compliance with store standards.
• Process transactions accurately and efficiently, ensuring a seamless checkout experience.

Customer Service:

• Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting and assisting customers in a friendly manner.
• Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
• Build lasting relationships with customers to foster loyalty and repeat business.
• Conduct customer outreach efforts.

Fulfillment:

• Assist in inventory management, ensuring products are stocked and displays are organized.
• Assist in order fulfillment process, including in-house product handling, packaging, and shipment of products to customers.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a smooth fulfillment workflow.
• Maintain an orderly stockroom and monitor inventory levels.
• Track and report inventory discrepancies or supply issues.
• Assist in ordering and product pick up from facilities.

Product Knowledge:

• Stay informed about product features, benefits, and trends to effectively educate customers.
• Share product knowledge with customers to enhance their shopping experience.
• Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities.

Event Work:

• Assist in the planning, setup, and execution of in-store and off-site events (ie: Farmer's Markets, Collaborations, etc).
• Engage with customers during events to drive interest, sales and enhance brand awareness.
• Help coordinate logistics, including signage and set-up, promotional materials, and product displays.
• Collect feedback and insights during events to enhance future initiatives.

Other Duties:

• Complete additional tasks as assigned by management to support store and off-site operations.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive and productive work environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One (1) year of related work experience; retail and/or service industry experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.
• Basic computer skills and experience with point-of-sale systems.
• Ability to prioritize and complete multiple job assignments.
• Ability to understand and follow through on verbal and written instructions.
• Able to work a flexible work schedule to include evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Valid Driver's License

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
• Capability to lift, carry, push and/or pull products, supplies and/or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Frequent bending, reaching, and stretching to access products on shelves or displays.
