2nd Shift Embroidery Supervisor (Working Supervisor)
Competition Headwear is seeking a reliable 2nd Shift Embroidery Supervisor to operate industrial embroidery machines while overseeing and supporting the 2nd shift embroidery team producing our proudly Made in the USA baseball-style caps.
SCHEDULE
- Part-Time (4 hour shift)
- 2nd Shift (afternoon/evening)
- 3 or 4pm to 7 or 8pm
- Monday – Friday
- Opportunity for additional hours based on production needs
RESPONSIBILITIES
Production & Machine Operation (Hands-On):
- Set up, operate, and monitor commercial embroidery machines (multi-head and/or single-head)
- Load designs, thread machines, change needles, and set hooping and placement accurately
- Inspect finished products to ensure quality, accuracy, and consistency with work orders
- Perform routine machine maintenance, troubleshooting, and basic repairs
- Read and follow job tickets, artwork, and production schedules
- Meet personal and departmental production goals while maintaining quality standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
Supervisory & Leadership Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the 2nd shift embroidery department
- Ensure team members are operating machines correctly, efficiently, and safely
- Monitor workflow, productivity, and quality across all machines and operators
- Provide direction, guidance, and support to embroidery operators throughout the shift
- Identify and address production issues, quality concerns, or staffing needs in real time
- Ensure production schedules and deadlines are met
- Communicate machine issues, material shortages, and staffing concerns to management
- Assist with training new operators and reinforcing standard operating procedures
- Serve as the primary point of accountability for 2nd shift embroidery production
REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are
- 2+ year commercial embroidery experience required
- 1 year supervisor experience in a sewing or embroidery production environment
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work 2nd shift hours consistently
- Ability to troubleshoot issues
- Ability to multi-task and work quickly but efficiently- example using multiple machines for production at once
- Regularly stand for long periods of time while reaching with hands and arms
- Specific vision abilities include sharp vision, focus, depth perception and ability to identify colors
- Ability to read, write and comprehend written or oral instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $ $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week
