A well-established structural engineering firm is seeking a Structural Engineer – Project Manager to join its team. This role is ideal for a technically strong professional who enjoys leading projects in structural design, restoration, and forensic engineering. Position Overview:

The Structural Engineer – Project Manager will manage projects from early concept through completion while providing technical direction, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and serving as the primary client contact. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of balancing technical demands with project leadership responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead structural engineering efforts for new building design, renovations, expansions, and specialty structures.
  • Perform structural analysis, prepare engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications, and ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards.
  • Assess existing structures to determine condition, identify deficiencies, and develop repair, strengthening, and rehabilitation solutions.
  • Conduct forensic investigations involving structural failures, performance issues, material deficiencies, or construction disputes, and prepare clear, objective technical reports.
  • Oversee project schedules, budgets, and deliverables while coordinating with architects, MEP consultants, contractors, and permitting agencies.
  • Mentor junior engineers, review engineering documents for quality, and facilitate internal team coordination.
  • Maintain strong client communication and support business development through proposals and professional engagement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's preferred).
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • 7+ years of structural engineering experience, including project management responsibilities.
  • Experience in structural design, restoration/rehabilitation, and forensic engineering.
  • Proficiency in structural analysis software and industry-standard design tools.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
