A large public-sector organization is seeking two senior-level Microsoft .NET Web Developer III professionals to support new application development, modernization of legacy systems, and ongoing support of custom applications.

This role involves designing, developing, testing, implementing, and maintaining solutions in a Microsoft .NET environment with Oracle databases, while collaborating closely with architects, project managers, and technical teams. The position supports multiple initiatives involving modern web applications, APIs, batch processes, reporting, and GIS integrations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, enhance, and support custom web applications using .NET technologies
  • Modernize and redesign legacy applications to meet current business needs
  • Develop web applications, batch processes, APIs, and reports following best practices
  • Assist with Oracle database architecture, design, performance tuning, and maintenance
  • Provide application support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution
  • Perform and document functional and non-functional testing
  • Manage source code, branching, and deployments using Azure DevOps
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and project planning activities
  • Create and maintain technical documentation
  • Ensure applications meet accessibility, security, federal, and state compliance standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of solutions

Required Qualifications

The most qualified candidates will have:

  • 8+ years of advanced application development using Microsoft .NET Framework
  • 8+ years of hands-on coding experience with C#, MVC, JavaScript, Bootstrap
  • Strong experience with Object-Oriented Design principles
  • 6+ years applying accessibility and security standards to custom applications
  • 8+ years working with Oracle databases (SQL, stored procedures, performance tuning)
  • Experience developing Web APIs
  • Experience with Power BI report development
  • 4+ years using Azure DevOps (repos, work items, version control, deployments)
  • Strong experience with Visual Studio
  • Solid understanding of SDLC and IT best practices
  • Experience debugging, researching, and resolving technical issues
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently while owning tasks end-to-end
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills

Nice to Have

  • Experience working in government or public-sector environments
  • Experience with Microsoft tools (SharePoint, Teams, Word, Excel)
  • Experience with GIS technologies, especially Esri JavaScript APIs

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $ $55.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
