About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Manager, Facilities Engineering to oversee facility operations, maintenance, infrastructure planning, and supplier partnerships at our Griffin, GA location. This role is responsible for optimizing facility performance, ensuring compliance, and supporting operational efficiency across the site. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership capability, technical expertise, and the ability to drive continuous improvement within a manufacturing environment.

What You Will Do

  • Collaborate with engineers, internal partners, and suppliers to meet business goals aligned with sustainable facility usage and budget expectations.
  • Build and lead an effective facility maintenance team; develop and deliver training programs to ensure strong technical performance.
  • Evaluate utility systems, equipment effectiveness, and operational risks; recommend and implement improvement solutions.
  • Oversee facility inspections, repairs, upgrades, and day-to-day operational activities to maintain a safe and efficient environment.
  • Ensure all operations are executed in accordance with facility standards, policies, and compliance requirements.

Skills You Must Have

  • Budgeting: Strong knowledge of budget planning and administration practices within a manufacturing setting.
  • Effectiveness Measurement: Ability to apply quantitative and qualitative evaluation techniques to drive process improvements.
  • Problem Solving: Expertise in diagnostic tools and methodologies for resolving operational and facility-related issues.
  • Manufacturing Equipment: Understanding of mechanical, electrical, and logistics equipment; ability to oversee safe use and maintenance.
  • Manufacturing Application Systems: Knowledge of relevant databases, systems, and applications used in manufacturing facilities.
  • Manufacturing Standards & Policies: Ability to ensure facility processes align with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Plant Facilities Management: Deep understanding of infrastructure management, facility operations, and maintenance methodologies.
  • Supplier Management: Experience managing vendor relationships, contracts, and performance for materials and equipment services.

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.

Preferred Qualifications (Top Candidates Will Have)

  • Engineering or Engineering Technology degree from an ABET-accredited program.
  • Hands-on experience in one or more skilled trades.
  • Strong knowledge of shop operations, maintenance practices, and manufacturing workflows.
  • Understanding of production equipment, systems, and process requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, coordinate, and execute maintenance operations effectively.
