Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards, maintaining consistency across all dishes.
- Ensure all food handling procedures adhere to food safety regulations to prevent contamination and ensure guest safety.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients and utensils.
- Use knife skills efficiently for chopping, slicing, dicing, and other food preparation tasks.
- Support meal preparation for various service types such as dine-in, catering, or special events.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate food production during busy service times.
- Follow sanitation protocols diligently to uphold hygiene standards in compliance with health department guidelines.
- Assist with inventory management by monitoring ingredient levels and notifying management of supply needs.
- Contribute to a positive team environment by demonstrating professionalism, teamwork, and a strong work ethic.
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or kitchen roles within the food industry or restaurant settings.
- Strong knife skills with the ability to handle various kitchen tools safely and efficiently.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper handling techniques to ensure guest safety and compliance with regulations.
- Background in dietary department or dietary aide roles is a plus, demonstrating familiarity with special dietary needs.
- Excellent food service skills with the ability to serve guests professionally and courteously.
- Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills for managing multiple tasks simultaneously during busy shifts.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and assist in various kitchen functions as needed. - Food Handler Certification required within 30 days of hire.
Pay: $ $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15.0 – 30.0 per week
