Controls & Automation Engineer

Major Accountabilities 

Install, maintain, and troubleshoot robotic PLCs, HMIs, sensors, actuators, and other control devices. 

Program and modify robotic/automation systems to improve efficiency and reliability. 

Work directly with engineering and production teams to design and optimize product processing and flow. 

Commissioning new equipment and retrofitting existing systems. 

Train maintenance and production staff on automation systems and controls. 

Diagnose and repair (automated) electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic control systems. 

Create and maintain documentation for automated control systems, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals. 

Ensure compliance with safety standards and electrical codes. 

Support predictive and preventive maintenance programs. 

Requirements

· BS, Engineering / Engineering Technology, or other technical degree with relevant work experience demonstrated       

· 3+ years of experience of industrial automation responsibility, preferably in a manufacturing environment

· Ability to program, diagnose, and optimize robotic equipment/systems

· Proficiency in PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc

· Strong understanding of industrial networks (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, etc

· Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and control diagrams

· Familiarity with SCADA systems and data acquisition tools

· Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

· Strong communication and teamwork abilities
