Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks with precision
• Greet customers warmly, taking their orders accurately and efficiently using POS systems such as Square POS or Toast POS
• Handle cash transactions, process payments, and give correct change with strong cash handling skills
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and seating areas
• Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures to ensure quality and safety standards are met
• Assist with basic food preparation tasks, including assembling sandwiches or snacks as needed
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service and customer satisfaction

Qualifications

• Previous barista experience or background in food service is highly preferred
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Square POS or Toast POS is a plus
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and order calculations
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling practices
• Ability to stand for extended periods, walk comfortably around the café, and lift moderate loads when necessary
