We are seeking a diligent Material Handler to join our team in Colorado Springs, Colorado. In this essential role, you will be responsible for moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting merchandise within our facility. Your efforts are crucial to the efficient functioning of our logistics and supply chain operations. You will handle a variety of materials, ensuring they are stored and retrieved accurately and safely. A strong commitment to safety is required, including the proper use of PPE and adherence to all operational guidelines. This position involves significant physical activity, including lifting and maneuvering materials. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and other transport vehicles.
- Move materials to and from storage areas using appropriate equipment.
- Stack and store materials in designated locations, ensuring stability and accessibility.
- Perform inventory counts and assist with stock rotation.
- Operate manual and powered material handling equipment safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies, including the consistent use of PPE.
- Inspect equipment before use and report any damage or malfunctions.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed, which may involve lifting up to 60 pounds.
- Support the broader logistics team in meeting operational targets.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a material handler or in a warehouse setting preferred.
- Ability to lift and maneuver heavy objects (up to 60 lbs).
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety practices and procedures.
- Familiarity with various material handling equipment.
- Excellent physical stamina and ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Commitment to wearing required PPE.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
