We are looking for certified and experienced Forklift Operators to join our logistics team in Des Moines, Iowa. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials within our warehouse. Your duties will include loading and unloading trucks, transporting goods to and from storage areas, and assisting with inventory management. Maintaining a clean and organized work environment is essential for operational efficiency and Safety . You will perform pre-shift equipment checks and ensure all machinery is in good working order. Strict adherence to all Safety regulations and the proper use of PPE are mandatory. This role requires individuals with excellent spatial awareness and the ability to operate various types of forklifts. This is a great opportunity to advance your career in the Logistics industry.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, reach trucks, and other powered industrial trucks safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks, trailers, and shipping docks.
- Transport raw materials, finished products, and cases to and from storage areas.
- Stack and retrieve merchandise accurately and safely.
- Perform daily pre-shift inspections and basic maintenance on forklifts.
- Report any damages to products, equipment, or the facility immediately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment according to company standards.
- Assist with inventory counts and other warehouse tasks as directed.
- Follow proper Lifting procedures and all other safety guidelines.
- Wear and use all required PPE consistently.
Qualifications:
Valid forklift operator certification. Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting. High school diploma or equivalent. Understanding of warehouse operations and inventory control principles. Strong commitment to workplace Safety and adherence to all regulations. Ability to perform tasks that involve regular Lifting . Familiarity with Logistics practices. Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical stamina. Must be able to work independently and collaboratively. Continuous use of PPE is required.
