Our organization in Omaha, Nebraska is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Receiving Clerk to join our team. The Receiving Clerk plays a vital role in managing incoming goods, ensuring accuracy and efficiency from the moment shipments arrive. Responsibilities include unloading trucks, verifying quantities against purchase orders, inspecting goods for damage, and properly documenting all received items. You will be integral to maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting our overall Logistics chain. A strong emphasis on workplace Safety is expected, including consistent use of all required PPE . This role may involve some manual Lifting and requires the ability to work systematically. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments.
- Verify received goods against purchase orders and shipping manifests.
- Inspect all items for damage or defects.
- Accurately record received inventory using the company's system.
- Communicate any discrepancies or issues to management.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all Safety regulations and wear appropriate PPE .
- Support the flow of goods within the Logistics process, including occasional Lifting .
- Previous experience as a Receiving Clerk or in a related warehouse role.
- Proficiency in data entry and inventory management systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform some manual Lifting (up to 30 lbs).
- Understanding of warehouse operations and Logistics principles.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and proper use of PPE .
