Our Denver, Colorado distribution center is looking for a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our expanding logistics team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the warehouse. Your primary duties will include operating various types of forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to load and unload shipments, move inventory to and from storage locations, and support order picking and fulfillment operations. Maintaining the integrity of the products and ensuring the safety of yourself and your colleagues are top priorities. You must be adept at navigating crowded warehouse spaces, maneuvering loads precisely, and performing pre-operational checks on equipment to ensure it is in safe working order. Adherence to all company safety protocols and the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory. This position requires significant physical stamina and the ability to perform tasks involving lifting up to 50 pounds. A valid forklift certification and previous experience are essential. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move, stack, and retrieve inventory.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Perform daily pre-shift equipment inspections and report any issues.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock rotation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring clear aisles and safety zones.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE.
- Support picking and packing operations as needed.
- Participate in ongoing safety training and logistics best practices.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification (e.g., OSHA-approved).
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and practices.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and productive logistics environment.
- Knowledge of logistics and material handling principles is a plus.
