Become a key player in our warehouse operations as a Picker/Packer in St. Louis, Missouri. This role is vital for ensuring our customers receive their orders accurately and on time. You will be responsible for locating, picking, and preparing a wide variety of items for shipment. Working in a dynamic Logistics environment, your attention to detail and speed are crucial. We are committed to maintaining a safe workplace and expect all employees to follow our rigorous Safety standards and utilize appropriate PPE.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from shelves according to order specifications using scanners or pick lists.
- Inspect items for quality and any signs of damage before packing.
- Pack items securely and efficiently, selecting appropriate packaging materials to prevent damage during transit.
- Verify order accuracy before sealing packages.
- Label packages correctly with shipping and tracking information.
- Stage packed orders for outgoing shipment, ensuring proper routing.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, promoting Safety and efficiency.
- Assist with receiving, stocking, and inventory tasks as needed.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including proper Lifting techniques.
- Operate pallet jacks and hand trucks to move inventory.
- Contribute to the smooth operation of our Logistics department by meeting performance metrics.
- Ensure all assigned tasks are completed in accordance with established guidelines and the use of required PPE.
- Regularly engage in tasks involving the Lifting of boxes and products, up to 30 lbs.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a picking or packing role is advantageous.
- Ability to read and interpret order forms and shipping labels.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and Logistics.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical capability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive motions, including moderate Lifting.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and following all established guidelines.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Willingness to wear all required PPE.
