Responsibilities:
- Prepare all necessary shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing lists, and customs declarations.
- Accurately verify shipping addresses, order details, and quantities.
- Select the most efficient and cost-effective shipping methods and carriers.
- Schedule and coordinate freight pickups and deliveries.
- Ensure all shipments are properly packaged, labeled, and secured for transit.
- Maintain precise records of all outgoing shipments and tracking information.
- Monitor shipment status and provide updates as needed to internal teams and customers.
- Operate shipping software and relevant warehouse equipment.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Support the broader logistics team with other warehouse tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a related logistics role.
- Proficiency with shipping software and common carrier portals.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
- Keen attention to detail for accurate documentation.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
- Familiarity with international shipping regulations is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe workplace, including the correct use of PPE.
