We are seeking energetic and detail-oriented Picker/Packers to join our San Diego, California distribution center. This role is fundamental to our logistics operations, ensuring that customer orders are accurately fulfilled and dispatched promptly. You will be responsible for picking items from warehouse shelves, preparing them for shipment, and ensuring all orders are packaged correctly to prevent damage during transit. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment. This position offers a competitive hourly wage and the chance to be part of a growing team within the logistics industry.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse locations based on order specifications.
- Verify picked items against order forms to ensure accuracy.
- Pack items securely and efficiently using appropriate packaging materials.
- Label packages correctly for shipment, including shipping addresses and tracking information.
- Inspect outgoing packages for damage and completeness.
- Operate scanning equipment and warehouse management systems.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Assist with inventory management and stock rotation.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and productivity of the logistics department.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in picking, packing, or warehouse operations is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret order pick lists accurately.
- Proficiency with RF scanners and warehouse management systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety and the proper use of PPE.
