We are hiring a skilled Material Handler for our busy Miami, Florida warehouse. Your primary responsibility will be the efficient and safe movement of goods within the facility. This includes operating forklifts, loading and unloading trucks, organizing stock, and assisting with shipping and receiving. You will play a crucial role in the smooth operation of our logistics network, ensuring that materials are handled correctly and efficiently. A strong focus on **safety**, adherence to operational procedures, and physical capability are essential. Experience with various material handling equipment and a valid certification are required. We emphasize a culture of safety and require strict adherence to **PPE** guidelines. The role involves significant **Lifting** and manual dexterity.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from delivery trucks and containers.
- Move, sort, and stack inventory within the warehouse according to established procedures.
- Perform daily equipment checks and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Assist with receiving and shipping functions as directed.
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and ensure proper storage of materials.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of **PPE**.
- Identify and report any damaged goods, equipment malfunctions, or potential safety hazards.
- Support the logistics team to ensure efficient workflow and timely order fulfillment.
- Perform manual **Lifting** of items up to 50 lbs when necessary.
- Keep the work environment clean, organized, and hazard-free.
- Collaborate effectively with supervisors and colleagues to achieve operational goals.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift operator certification is mandatory.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and material handling best practices.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and the importance of **PPE**.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including repetitive **Lifting** and carrying.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with logistics processes is beneficial.
- Reliable and committed to fulfilling job responsibilities.
