Overview:

Assist in the coordination of the Park's overall safety, ensuring compliance with all local, state, federal standards and all policies/procedures established by Six Flags. Additional responsibilities include, assisting full time Supervisor as needed and handling Workers Compensation claims: reporting, investigating and maintaining files on potential and active claims.

Responsibilities: Essential Job Duties:
  • Provide medical care, and/or transportation, to our employees and Guests.
  • Maintain all medical supplies and request reorders when needed.
  • Maintain all medical vehicles, including electric medical transporters, oxygen cylinders and request reorders prior to need.
  • Review all Patient Care Reports (PCR's) for accuracy from EMTs.
  • Maintaining and properly securing all medical records.
  • Conduct safety investigations throughout the park as requested by the safety manager.
  • Maintain proper attendance and timelines for EMT's.
  • Ensure guest safety and satisfaction in their stay at Six Flags.
  • Set high standards of performance for all areas within their responsibilities.
  • Respond to any emergency situation in the area and maintain control.
  • Ensure that image, cleanliness and courtesy standards requirements are met.
  • Cooperate with all team members and managers.
  • Resolve Guest concerns that may arise on a daily basis.
  • Complete hiring and provide training for incoming EMT's.
  • Complete any and all tasks as requested by Six Flags Management.
Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must possess a valid Driver's License.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must be an active CA State or Nationally Certified EMT with current certifications including CPR.
  • Minimum two (2) years EMS experience in a theme park.
  • Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Must possess excellent organizational skills and be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Must be able to handle documents, issues, and conversations with extreme confidentiality and with HIPAA compliance.
  • Must be able to use independent judgment and effectively prioritize.
  • Must be able to positively and effectively communicate in English both in verbal and written format.
  • Must possess the mental and physical capacities necessary to perform the primary job duties.
  • Must be able to live the Six Flags Mantra and adhere to all grooming standards.
  • Must be able to use a multiline phone (placing someone on hold, transferring calls, and checking voicemail) and radio.
  • Must be able to sit, stand, bend, and walk for extended periods of time and able to lift patients to and from stretchers with only one assistant.
  • Ability to demonstrate effective written communication to include reports, tracking systems, file notes, e-mail correspondence, facsimile correspondence, and other required methods.
  • Ability to maintain objectivity in times of pressure, give and take direction.
  • Must be able to work weekends, evenings and holidays.
