Job Summary
We are seeking a consistent and driven Sous Chef to join our vibrant culinary team. In this pivotal role, you will assist the Executive Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation. Your leadership will inspire the kitchen staff to deliver extremely quick and fantastic dining experiences. Responsibilities

  • Support the Executive Chef in managing all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
  • Supervise and motivate kitchen staff to maintain high standards of food quality, safety, and cleanliness.
  • Assist with menu planning and recipe development to ensure variety and innovation aligned with restaurant or catering concepts.
  • Oversee inventory management and control to minimize waste and ensure the availability of ingredients for daily service.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper handling procedures across all kitchen activities.
  • Coordinate shift management, including scheduling staff rotations and ensuring smooth service flow during busy periods.
  • Contribute to catering and banquet events by preparing dishes according to specifications and maintaining quality standards.
  • Manage food production processes in line with dietary requirements, special menus, or guest preferences.
  • Support training initiatives for team members on food handling, safety protocols, and culinary techniques.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in fast paced dining environments with a strong background in food production and kitchen management.
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience leading culinary teams in fast-paced settings such as restaurants or catering services.
  • Familiarity with dietary department procedures and special dietary accommodations.
  • Strong skills in inventory control, menu planning, and food service management.
  • Excellent leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
  • Comprehensive understanding of food safety standards and proper food handling practices.
  • Proficiency in culinary techniques including cooking, food preparation, and presentation.

Pay: $ $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
