Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Plumber to join our construction and maintenance team. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction plumbing, pipe threading, and working on various types of construction sites. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in commercial settings, utilizing a range of hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment. The Plumber will also interpret blueprints and schematics to ensure accurate installation and compliance with safety standards. Candidates with mechanical knowledge, HVAC experience, or maintenance person skills are highly valued. This position offers opportunities for growth within a dynamic construction environment.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems according to project specifications and blueprints
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to execute precise installations
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and pipe threading machines safely and effectively
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment as required for installation or repair tasks
- Conduct remodeling tasks involving plumbing components and related carpentry work
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and industry standards
- Collaborate with construction teams to coordinate plumbing activities within larger projects
- Troubleshoot plumbing issues using mechanical knowledge and basic math skills
- Assist in the assembly of plumbing fixtures and components on-site
- Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to all safety protocols at the construction site
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction plumbing, site work, or related trades
- Proficiency in reading schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, pipe threading machines, and welding equipment safely
- Mechanical aptitude with an understanding of schematics and system layouts
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical labor for extended periods
- Strong problem-solving skills with basic math proficiency for measurements and calculations
- Prior experience with carpentry, maintenance person work, or assembly projects is advantageous
- Commitment to safety standards and continuous learning in a fast-paced construction environment
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening
Pay: $ $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
