Primary Care/Integrative office looking for a compassionate Medical Assistant to be part of our TCIM team.
Work 40 hours Monday - Friday's
7:45AM - 4:45PM
As a Medical Assistant you will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the medical office. You will support doctors and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Perform nursing procedures under supervision of physician or nurse practitioner
- Assist physician and nurse practitioner in exam rooms
- Escort patients to exam rooms, measure vital signs, including weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and document all information in patient's electronic chart
- Give instructions to patients as instructed by provider
- Ensure all related reports, labs and information and available in patients' medical records prior to their appointment
- Keep exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies, maintain instruments, prepare sterilization as required
- Take telephone messages and provide feedback and answers to patient/physicians/pharmacy calls
- Triage and process messages from patients and front office staff to physicians and nurse practitioners
- Maintain all logs and required check (i.e. refrigerator temperatures, emergency medications, expired medications, etc.)
- Perform diagnostic procedures when ordered, to include EKGs, urine dip sticks, phlebotomy, etc.
- Ability to multitask
- All other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Manager
Skills
- Proven working experience as a medical assistant
- Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and priorities work
- Social perceptiveness and service oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software
- Degree in medical assistance
- CPR Certified
- Reliable Transportation
- High School diploma or GED certificate
Hourly pay based on years of experience as a Medical Assistant
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $ $22.00 per hour
