Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join our Construction Division. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in preparing accurate project estimates, managing bid processes, and supporting project planning. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to high-profile construction projects, utilizing advanced estimating tools and industry expertise to ensure competitive and profitable bids. The Senior Estimator will collaborate closely with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to deliver precise cost assessments and foster successful project execution.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop detailed, accurate labor, material, and equipment estimates for bids on construction projects.
- Estimate by analyzing blueprints, specifications, proposals, scope of work, and other documentation; participate in site inspections to verify information as needed.
- Solicit and evaluate price quotations from suppliers, subcontractors, and other partners.
- Analyze request for proposals and contract terms; advise management of potential business risks (warranties, insurance, indemnification) and enforce contracts.
- Collaborate with the project management team to ensure a smooth project handoff.
- Attend company meetings, and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field is preferred.
- Experience estimating construction projects up to $20M.
- Strong understanding of the local construction market and subcontractors.
- Cost management and budgeting skills.
- Ability to read blueprints and specifications.
- High analytical and organization skills, great attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and multi-task.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and time management skills.
- Ability to preserve confidentiality of company information.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment screening (background check and drug screening).
- Ability to perform physical activities that require the use of arms and legs such as climbing, lifting 60 pounds, balancing, walking, climbing, stooping, and handling materials. Must be able to sit and/or be active for long periods of time.

Pay: $80, $115,000.00 per year
