Construction Project Manager

Position Summary
Genesis Fire and Water Restoration is seeking a skilled Construction Project Manager to oversee reconstruction and repair projects following fire, water, mold, and storm damage. This role is responsible for managing projects from estimate to completion, coordinating subcontractors, ensuring quality workmanship, and delivering an exceptional customer experience. The ideal candidate is highly organized, a strong communicator, and experienced in residential and light commercial construction.

Key Responsibilities
Project Management & Planning

• Oversee construction and rebuild projects from start to finish.
• Create detailed scopes, estimates, and schedules for reconstruction jobs.
• Coordinate materials, subcontractors, labor, and permits.
• Ensure projects stay on time and within approved budgets.

Jobsite Coordination & Quality Control

• Conduct regular jobsite visits to monitor progress and workmanship.
• Ensure all work meets company standards, building codes, and client expectations.
• Resolve jobsite issues quickly and maintain a smooth workflow.
• Verify completion of phases before vendor payments are issued.

Customer & Insurance Communication

• Serve as the primary point of contact for homeowners, adjusters, and property managers.
• Provide clear updates on timelines, changes, and project status.
• Document changes, obtain approvals, and handle supplemental estimates.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain accurate daily logs, job notes, change orders, and progress photos.
• Submit all required documents for insurance carriers and internal systems.
• Track project costs and ensure profitability.

Team & Subcontractor Management

• Schedule and oversee subcontractors and labor crews.
• Review finished work for quality and scope accuracy.
• Build and maintain positive vendor relationships.

Qualifications Required

• 3+ years of construction or restoration project management experience
• Strong knowledge of residential construction practices and building codes
• Ability to read scopes, blueprints, and insurance estimates (Xactimate a plus)
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
