The HR Coordinator will support the Human Resources department in various HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, strong communication abilities, and a keen interest in HR practices.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The HR Coordinator is accountable for providing support services to the Director of Human Resources. This includes, but is not limited to, the following:
- Assist with job postings, resume screening, and scheduling interviews.
- Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing onboarding materials, conducting orientation sessions, and ensuring completion of necessary paperwork.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records.
- Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and provide support on HR-related matters.
- Assist in organizing employee engagement activities and events.
- Help administer employee benefits programs and address employee questions regarding benefits.
- Maintain HR databases and ensure data accuracy and confidentiality.
- Prepare and distribute HR-related communications and documents.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Support payroll processing by providing relevant employee information (e.g., leaves of absence, sick days, and work schedules).
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Assist with HR audits and prepare reports as needed.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with employees and management
- Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload efficiently
- Knowledge of human resources principles and practices
- Familiarity with HR systems such as Workday and Oracle HCM is a plus
- Ability to adapt to change and work in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of employment and labor laws to ensure compliance
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
