Description
Position Summary – This position is responsible for managing every aspect of the human element for the business. This is accomplished through policy development/maintenance/enactment, onboard/offboard administration of employees including performance improvement, payroll administration, benefit communication and administration, employee retention and coordination of employee events.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Create, post and monitor job descriptions and subsequent management of applicants
Screening and testing candidates for relevant skills
Interact with and engage recruiting organizations when appropriate
Hire and terminate employees and implement employment status changes
Prepare employment records and maintain employee files with appropriate documentation
Maintain compliance with applicable government regulations related to employment practices, payroll & benefits
Advise management on appropriate resolution of employee relation issues
Deliver and document disciplinary actions and/or corrective action plans to employees as necessary
Administer bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll, including payroll taxes and 401K
Generate and file W2s annually
Administer workers compensation, STD, LTD and unemployment claims
Plan and coordinate company events
Maintain personnel policies and procedures
Administer company benefits including enrollment and benefit termination
Review and reconcile monthly benefits invoices
Assist employees with navigating healthcare and ancillary benefits
Maintain the affirmative action program

Qualifications
Strong working knowledge of a wide variety of HR functions
Current knowledge of labor laws and regulations
Efficiently organize and schedule work to meet workflow demands in timely manner
Experience in conflict resolution, disciplinary processes and workplace investigations
Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, TEAMs
Knowledge of Infor ERP SyteLine a plus
Exceptional organizational and time-management skills
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
Aptitude for critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making
Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information without breach
Demonstrated strength of character, ethics, commitment, and reliability
Must be motivated, enthusiastic and a team-player with the ability to think rapidly
Ability to work regularly scheduled hours and to work as needed
