Position: Talend Developer
Experience: Minimum 5+ Years
Location: Remote (Only candidates in the United States)
Employment Type: Full-time / Contract
Start Date: Immediate / ASAP
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Talend Developer to join our data engineering team. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and maintain scalable data integration and ETL solutions using Talend and related technologies.
This role requires strong expertise in big data, cloud platforms, database management, and modern ETL frameworks. The candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver optimized data workflows, ensure data quality, and support analytics and data warehousing initiatives across AWS, Azure, and on-premise environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement robust ETL pipelines using Talend Studio.
- Integrate data from multiple sources: Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, Hadoop, REST APIs, AWS, Azure Data Lake.
- Optimize existing ETL workflows for performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Work closely with data analysts and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Integrate big data technologies including Hadoop, Spark, Apache Hive, Looker.
- Develop RESTful APIs for smooth data access and system integration.
- Automate deployment and data processes using Python, Bash/Shell scripting, Java, or VBA.
- Participate in Agile development cycles—sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives.
- Conduct model training/testing to improve data processing accuracy and efficiency.
- Maintain complete documentation of ETL jobs, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Talend Developer / Data Integration Specialist.
- Strong hands-on experience with Talend Open Studio / Talend Data Fabric.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with databases like Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL.
- Strong programming/scripting skills: Java, Python, Bash/Unix Shell, VBA.
- Expertise in big data technologies: Hadoop, HDFS, Hive, Spark, Looker (preferred).
- Solid understanding of data warehousing, ETL best practices, and data modeling.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms: AWS (S3, Lambda), Azure Data Lake, or equivalent.
- Experience developing and integrating RESTful APIs.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Talend ESB / Talend Cloud.
- Exposure to big data ecosystems: Hadoop, Spark, Hive.
- Knowledge of DevOps tools such as Git, Jenkins CI/CD.
