Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry, with a focus on quick service and fast food operations, as well as experience in fine dining. As an Assistant Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing daily restaurant operations to ensure smooth functioning and adherence to company standards.
  • Supervise and train staff in food preparation, cooking techniques, and customer service best practices.
  • Oversee inventory control, including ordering supplies and managing stock levels to minimize waste.
  • Utilize POS systems such as square POS or Micros POS for efficient cash handling and transaction processing.
  • Implement training and development programs for new hires to foster a knowledgeable team.
  • Maintain compliance with food safety regulations and ensure proper food handling practices are followed.
  • Manage shift schedules, ensuring adequate staffing levels during peak hours.
  • Provide leadership and support to team members, promoting a positive work environment.
  • Assist with budgeting and financial management to optimize restaurant profitability.
  • Handle customer inquiries and feedback promptly to enhance guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in restaurant management or as a server or an Assistant Manager is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of food service management principles, including kitchen management and food production processes.
  • Experience in the day to day restaurant operations and supervising staff, with proven leadership skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with cash handling procedures and financial reporting is essential.
  • English fluency is a most. High communication skills and Excellent customer service skills with the ability to resolve issues effectively.
  • Background in culinary arts or hospitality management is a plus.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Pay: From $34,000.00 per year
