VSO is seeking an experienced full-time Intelligence Analyst to join our team, producing actionable and forward-looking intelligence to support GSOC operations and client security programs.
Position Summary
The Intelligence Analyst collects, analyzes, and synthesizes security-related data to identify emerging threats, patterns, and risks impacting VSO clients and operations. This role focuses on forward-looking reporting that anticipates potential issues and trends, distinguishing it from the GSOC Operator role, which emphasizes tactical/emergent intelligence collection. The analyst works closely with the Senior Intelligence Analyst / Intelligence Lead to ensure intelligence products are accurate, actionable, and aligned with operational priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Intelligence Collection & Analysis
- Conduct ongoing OSINT monitoring from public-safety feeds, government alerts, media, and social platforms.
- Identify and track regional crime trends, hazards, and potential threats.
- Produce forward-looking intelligence reports anticipating threats, risks, and trends.
- Provide summaries, briefings, and recommendations that inform decision-making at operational and executive levels.
Operational & GSOC Support
- Collaborate with GSOC Operators to validate information and support decision-making.
- Provide real-time intelligence updates during incidents or major events as needed.
- Assist in after-action reviews, incident analysis, and investigative support.
- Escalate significant findings to the Senior Intelligence Analyst / Intelligence Lead.
Data & Reporting
- Maintain intelligence databases, dashboards, and trend-tracking tools.
- Generate daily, weekly, and ad hoc intelligence products for VSO leadership and clients.
- Support client-specific risk assessments and mitigation planning
Required Qualification
- 2+ years of experience in intelligence analysis, GSOC operations, investigations, military intelligence, or security operations.
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to produce professional, forward-looking intelligence reports.
- Ability to synthesize complex information under pressure.
- High degree of discretion and confidentiality.
- Familiarity with Incident Command System (ICS) structures.
- Comfort using databases, mapping tools, dashboards, and OSINT platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
- Veteran or prior military intelligence experience.
- Experience with:
-OSINT software and intelligence aggregation tools
-Google Earth, ATAK, or ArcGIS
- GPS systems
Public-safety or emergency-management platforms
CPR/First Aid certification.
- FEMA ICS training.

- Contribute to the planning and execution of special operations by providing actionable intelligence insights.
- Collaborate with the intelligence community and military units to enhance situational awareness during complex missions.
- Lead small teams or projects when required, demonstrating strong leadership skills within high-pressure environments.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in intelligence analysis within the military or intelligence community, with a focus on all-source intelligence methodologies.
- Strong knowledge of signals intelligence (SIGINT), electronic warfare (EW), and military intelligence operations.
- Familiarity with GIS platforms such as ArcGIS for geospatial analysis and visualization.
- Experience supporting joint military operations or special operations is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to collect, analyze, and interpret complex data sets related to military or national security issues.
- DoD experience or background working within the Department of Defense is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly present findings to diverse audiences.
- Leadership qualities with experience managing projects or teams in fast-paced environments are a plus. Pay: $95, $120,000.00 per year
