Optometrist

We are a family-owned optical store dedicated to quality care, outstanding customer service, and providing the best vision solutions tailored to our patients' needs.

Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive eye exams, contact lens fittings, and ocular health assessments.
• Educate patients on visual conditions, eye health, and available corrective options (glasses, contacts, specialty lenses).
• Provide detailed prescriptions and collaborate with the optical team to ensure patients receive the best eyewear solutions for their lifestyle and needs.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with HIPAA and state regulations.
• Manage clinical workflow efficiently while maintaining a friendly and patient-focused environment.
• Stay informed on the latest advancements in optometric care, lens technology, and visual health.
• Recommend additional eyewear (computer, driving, or sun lenses) when clinically appropriate to enhance patient comfort and vision.
• Work collaboratively with the practice owners to support community outreach, brand growth, and an exceptional patient experience.

Qualifications:

• Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree from an accredited optometry school.
• Active Florida State Optometry License in good standing (required).
• Current malpractice insurance coverage (required).
• Credentialed or eligible for credentialing with major vision insurance plans (VSP, EyeMed, Spectera, Davis, etc.) — preferred.
• Excellent communication and patient care skills with a commitment to quality service.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with optical staff.
• Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus, but not required.
