NATURE OF WORK
: *
Under general supervision, the Training and Education Coordinator is responsible for supporting the development, coordination, and delivery of training programs and educational activities. This position involves developing training materials, assisting in the planning and implementation of training initiatives, coordinating logistical arrangements, and providing administrative support to ensure smooth functioning of training activities. The Training and Education Coordinator plays a vital role in promoting continuous learning, skill development, and organizational effectiveness. Performs other duties as assigned.

TYPICAL DUTIES

Researches, coordinates and develops materials for use in training and educating staff on procedures, rules, regulations, forms, requirements and equipment for area of assignment. Assists Court Administrator or designee in the identification of training needs for staff and education. Collects, compiles, prepares, updates and assembles training and presentation materials and manuals. Designs new training and education materials and/or updates materials on a regular basis. Conducts initial training/orientation for newly hired staff to increase understanding of the judiciary system. Delivers training to classes and individuals through lectures, demonstrations, exercises and COJET Conferences. Maintains the Limited Jurisdiction Bond Book with current fines and fees. Conducts continuing education to comply with changes in federal, state and local regulations, policies and procedures, and to resolve specific performance deficiencies. Monitors changes in statutes, rules, best practices, and procedures and incorporates the changes into trainings. Compiles monthly case statistical data and prepares reports for area of assignment for the Presiding Judge and management. Develops and evaluates student surveys/assessments on training/education provided. Coordinates and maintains training/education materials, audio-visual equipment, laptops, tablets and supplies utilized for training and education. Maintains manual and computer-based documentation on training and/or education conducted. Maintains accurate records of training activities, including attendance, evaluations, and training materials. Coordinates with the Judicial County Training Coordinator on compiling continued education certificates for staff, entering them into the database and ensuring a copy is placed in their official personnel file in the Human Resources Department. Provides additional training as needed.An Associate's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in education, business, public administration, government, political science or a related field from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning recognized by the US Department of Education; two (2) years progressively responsible experience in a court setting, or progressively responsible professional experience conducting training and education. Must possess and maintain a valid Arizona Driver's License and the ability to be covered by county insurance.

An equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved may be considered.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
:
Work is primarily performed under general supervision. Incumbent generally performs work in a typical office setting with appropriate climate controls.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
:
Essential functions of this position require: lifting, manual dexterity, ability to communicate.
Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force; frequently lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds requires a good deal of walking, standing or involves sitting most of the time with some pushing and pulling of arm or leg controls.
Mental Application: Utilizes memory for details and verbal instructions, requires emotional stability, critical thinking, adaptability and creative problem-solving skills.
