Fooq's is part of We All Gotta Eat, a multi-unit, multi-concept restaurant group, with locations in NYC, Miami and soon Los Angeles. Our dynamic group includes Michelin Star locations Sushi Noz and Noz 17 & Noz Market Omakase restaurants and Chez Fifi, a French bistro with Basque influence on the Upper East Side of NYC. Our Miami restaurants include Eleventh Street Pizza locations and Fooq's Little River.

About the Role:

The Floor Manager will oversee daily operations of the dining room, ensuring exceptional service, and managing guest relations. This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain a polished and professional atmosphere in a high-end dining environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform proper execution of opening and closing procedures, pre and post service duties
  • Assists general manager with premeal meetings
  • Be physically present on the floor during service to ensure service standards
  • Oversee comp/void reporting
  • Manage all FOH employees shift schedule and monitor overtime
  • Oversee tip reporting
  • Daily walk through to inspect restaurant
  • Upkeep of all building and equipment (FOH/BOH) maintenance and cleanliness
  • Guide, direct and train service staff; observe the flow of guests, and provide assistance when necessary
  • Personally involve self with the service of VIP tables
  • Be aware of any bottlenecks or overwhelmed service areas and assist as necessary
  • Make sure that all needed supplies are on the floor at all times, including china, glass, linen, and other various supplies
  • Communicate with kitchen regarding pace of service, special needs, and general guest satisfaction
  • Maintain a healthy, happy and productive work environment for employees to foster loyalty and dedication

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of experience in a management role within a high volume high-end restaurant.
  • Proven track record of delivering exceptional guest service.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency in restaurant management software and POS systems.
  • Comfort in a high-volume/fast-paced environment
  • Flexible schedule with weekend/holiday availability

Physical Requirements:

  • Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, listening and hearing ability, and visual acuity.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards.
  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing 35 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly frequent movements from place to place within the property. Bend, lift, carry, reach/extend arms, and hands above shoulder height frequently, or otherwise move in a constantly changing environment.
  • Climbing steps regularly.
