We are seeking an experienced and technically adept
Automation Presales Solution Architect
to support our sales efforts and guide clients through the value of our automation solutions. This role is ideal for a professional with deep expertise in infrastructure automation, whitespace and competitive selling, and hands-on experience with the HashiCorp portfolio or similar platforms. The ideal candidate will bring strategic insight and technical credibility to complex enterprise engagements.

Key Responsibilities
- Partner with sales to identify whitespace opportunities and develop tailored automation strategies.
- Lead technical discovery sessions, solution design workshops, and proof-of-concept engagements.
- Architect and present automation solutions that align with client goals and industry best practices.
- Develop competitive positioning against platforms such as HashiCorp (Terraform, Vault, Consul, Nomad), Ansible, Chef, Puppet, and others.
- Collaborate with sales and architecture teams to influence roadmap and ensure solution alignment.
- Support RFPs, technical evaluations, and stakeholder presentations.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 5–7 years of experience in presales, solution architecture, or technical consulting in infrastructure automation or DevOps tooling.
Key Capabilities
- Strong understanding of automation frameworks, infrastructure-as-code, and cloud-native architectures.
- Experience with the HashiCorp portfolio or similar competitive solutions.
- Proven ability to engage with technical and business stakeholders across DevOps, cloud engineering, and IT operations.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in whitespace and competitive selling environments.
- Technical certifications in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) or automation tools.
- Familiarity with enterprise procurement and budgeting processes.

- Remote or Hybrid work model at corporate office in Hamel, MN

The expected salary/wage range for a U.S.-based hire filling this position is provided below. Actual offer may vary from this range based upon geographic location, work experience, education/training, and/or skill level. Variable incentives may also be offered.
USD Annual Salary: $125,000 - $225,000, plus incentive
