Generative AI Backend Engineer

Abacus.AI is a leading Generative AI company building a future where AI assists and automates most work and business processes for enterprises and professionals.

We are looking for highly effective backend developers who can work on a large codebase with a lot of infrastructure components building out our rapidly growing and very effective general purpose Agent product -
Abacus.AI
DeepAgent.  You will need to be good at working with LLMs, have sound technical judgement, strong debugging and infrastructure skills, and enjoy working on hard engineering problems.

We are a fully remote company with a very strong ownership culture and minimal management. We are looking for someone who can help add key features to our product, redo key components to improve usability and stability and in general take our user experience to the next level.

The ideal candidate will be:

• A highly skilled and effective engineer
• Able to work autonomously and have a strong sense of ownership
• Very productive - we have a high rate of shipping new features
• Someone with the the ability to jump in and take on responsibility and ownership of key parts of the product
• Have strong python and Unix skills
• Comfortable using AI to upskill themselves
• Someone who has worked in a startup or other fast paced high agency environment

The company is fully remote, but we have an office in downtown San Francisco that you are welcome to work out of. We have a slight preference for people who live in San Francisco - we do have social get-togethers at the office.
