Overview:

PrintMail is seeking a hands-on, strategic technical leader to own the operational delivery and ongoing support of our software platforms. This high-impact role drives release management, platform stability, and operational excellence, while shaping the strategic direction of new platforms and services.

The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise, operational discipline, and business acumen to lead a remote development team, optimize SDLC and DevOps practices, and deliver customer-focused solutions. The starting annual salary is $144,450.

Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership

  • Manage end-to-end release processes, ensuring uptime, performance, and SLA compliance.
  • Lead production support and proactively resolve operational risks.
  • Serve as the primary operational contact across engineering, QA, product, and customer teams.
  • Proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve operational risks, acting decisively when challenges arise.

Strategic Influence

  • Guide architecture and development standards for C#, SQL Server, and low-code platforms.
  • Advocate for customer-centric designs and align technical solutions with business goals.
  • Support API-first and mobile-first initiatives.

Process and Quality

  • Define, enforce, and optimize the
    Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
    for operational and delivery excellence.
  • Lead initiatives in
    CI/CD, DevOps, automated testing, and monitoring
    to ensure rapid, reliable, and high-quality releases.
  • Champion a culture of
    quality, accountability, and continuous improvement
    across remote teams.

Team Leadership

  • Develop, mentor, and coach a high-performing remote development team.
  • Provide technical guidance through code reviews, debugging, and hands-on support when needed.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and customer-focused outcomes.

Business Acumen & Customer Focus

  • Translate customer and business needs into operational decisions, balancing speed, quality, and risk.
  • Communicate operational impact and recommendations clearly to leadership and stakeholders.

Hands-On Development
:

  • Actively write, debug, and test C#, SQL Server, and OutSystems solutions.
  • Review code to ensure quality, alignment with modern practices, and customer-centric standards.
  • Achieve OutSystems certification within 6 months and guide the team toward expertise in a high-demand low-code platform.

Requirements:

Experience & Skills

  • 7–10+ years in software development with multi-tier web applications, primarily Microsoft technologies (C#, SQL Server).
  • Experience with OutSystems or similar low-code platforms preferred; company-supported training provided.
  • Strong expertise in SDLC, CI/CD, DevOps, automated testing, release management, and operational support.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze business needs and make data-driven operational and technical decisions.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and adapting to changing priorities.

Leadership & Communication

  • Proven success leading remote teams and mentoring technical staff.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; capable of producing clear reports and technical documentation.
  • Calm under pressure, with creative problem-solving and confident high-stakes decision-making.

Work Ethic

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in meeting deadlines.
  • Flexible for occasional after-hours support during critical incidents.
  • Committed to continuous learning and staying current with emerging technologies and operational best practices.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field—or equivalent experience.
  • Willingness to achieve OutSystems certification within 6 months.

Supervisory Responsibilities
:

Position includes responsibility for the work of others.

Work Conditions:

This position is remote, but you must be available to work during core east coast business hours. Local candidates may be required to commute to our Newtown PA offices several times per year for team meetings and/or company events. You are required to have a dedicated workspace available. We provide a laptop, dock, webcam, and monitor for your use while employed with us.
