Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain knowledge of menu offerings, including food preparation details and wine pairings, to assist guests effectively
- Handle cash transactions accurately with cash handling skills and basic math proficiency; process payments via POS systems like OpenTable or other platforms
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are upheld by adhering to proper food handling procedures and sanitation protocols
- Assist with bussing tables, resetting for new guests, and supporting kitchen staff when needed to ensure smooth operations
- Provide excellent guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and creating a welcoming environment for all patrons
Qualifications
- Prior restaurant experience or food service background preferred; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms; experience with OpenTable is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while multitasking across multiple tables
- Basic math skills for cashiering and cash handling responsibilities
- Experience in upselling menu items and promoting specials to enhance guest experience and revenue
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude; previous host/host or serving experience is beneficial
