Foundry Operator

Colt Refining is looking for a foundry operator to work in the milling, sifting, and blending department. This position will require you to load and unload ball mills, operate a sifter, and blend material once the job is complete. As a foundry operator, you will be working alongside other members in the department, so strong communication skills are required, bilingual is a plus. The ideal candidate will have the ability to multi-task as you will be expected to work on several different jobs simultaneously. This is a first shift position, (6am-2:30pm) or (7am-3:30pm) Monday-Friday.

Working in the foundry requires you to wear a respirator the majority of the day. This means you'll need to pass a physical and fit test which means no facial hair.

Basic requirements:

· Punctual attendance

· Basic knowledge of operating procedures and equipment

· Willing to follow directions

· Accurate reporting and record keeping

· Ability to work in a warmer environment during the summer months

· Capable of lifting 60 lbs.

· Spend most of the day on your feet

· Willingness to communicate with other members of the production staff and security

· Able to pass a background check, pre-employment physical, respirator fit test and drug screening

· Willingness to wear a respirator the majority of your shift

Additional skills that would be beneficial to the job:

· Experience as a large machine operator a plus

· Mechanically inclined

· Previous experience working with precious metals / foundry

Education / Experience:

· High School Diploma or GED

· Previous experience working on machines or in a foundry environment

· Forklift certification a plus

Compensation:

Pay starts at $20.00/hr for entry level, consideration will be given to individuals who have experience in similar environments or experience with precious metals.
