Software Engineer II

The Core AI Infrastructure team is crucial for sustaining Microsoft's AI services and products and enabling secure, efficient compute resource provisioning for customers. We work at the forefront of large-scale cloud AI, managing network connectivity, enforcing security, and optimizing efficiency to ensure reliable compute for all Microsoft AI workloads. As a Software Engineer II, you will contribute to features across the infrastructure stack – developing and validating APIs for resource provisioning, troubleshooting complex issues, and maintaining operational dashboards – all to support scalable and secure AI platform services. We seek a highly technical, hands-on engineer who is comfortable tackling complex problems, collaborating with multiple partner teams, and embraces Microsoft's cultural values of inclusion and caring.

• Design, develop, and validate APIs for network and compute resource provisioning in Azure cloud environments.
• Optimize infrastructure for performance and efficiency to support scalable AI services.
• Troubleshoot and resolve pre-production and production issues, ensuring operational reliability and quick recovery.
•  Maintain dashboards and metrics for networking and AI Infrastructure, providing insights into usage, performance, and security compliance.
• Collaborate with team members and partner teams to ensure service reliability, drive continuous improvements, and uphold SLA and security standards.

Required:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • OR equivalent experience.
