This is a true build-and-lead Controller role. You'll step in as the company's first dedicated Controller, owning the accounting function end-to-end, developing the team, strengthening controls, and modernizing processes while partnering closely with the CFO and ownership.

What You'll Own
- Lead and develop the accounting team (AP, AR, Billing, Collections, Payroll, Senior Accountant)
- Own month-end and year-end close, GL, reconciliations, external audit, and reporting
- Build and formalize internal controls and GAAP-compliant processes
- Oversee tax coordination with external advisors (sales, payroll, income taxes)
- Drive process improvement, automation, and systems scalability
- Oversee, assist in selecting, and be an integral part in an ERP Implementation
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Partner closely with the CFO and ownership during a high-growth phase

Background & Experience Needed for the Controller:
- 12–15+ years progressive accounting experience
- Prior Controller or Assistant Controller experience
- CPA strongly preferred
- ERP Implementation experience a plus
- Construction or project-based experience highly preferred
Compensation & Benefits
- Base:
$150K–$170K (flexible for the right leader) - Bonus:
10–20% (plus discretionary quarterly bonuses) - 401(k) with 4% match
