Line Cook

*Job Overview*

The Line Cook is responsible for preparing high-quality menu items according to recipe standards and kitchen procedures. This role ensures food is cooked safely, consistently, and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate works well under pressure, maintains a clean and organized workstation, and contributes to a positive kitchen culture. Flexible schedule/day/hours.

*Responsibilities*

• Prepare, cook, and plate menu items following established recipes and presentation standards

• Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies

• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized workspace throughout the shift

• Ensure food quality and portion control meet restaurant standards

• Follow all food handling, safety, and sanitation guidelines

• Assist with prepping ingredients and completing daily prep lists

• Communicate clearly with kitchen staff and servers to ensure timely service

• Monitor and report any equipment issues or low-stock items to management

• Following opening and closing procedures for assigned station

• Support other cooks and kitchen teammates as needed

*Qualifications*

-Previous line cook or restaurant kitchen experience preferred

• Strong understanding of basic cooking techniques

• Ability to quickly and efficiently in a high-volume setting

• Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude

• Ability to follow recipes and directions accurately

• Reliable, punctual, and professional

• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs

• Food Handler Certification (or ability to obtain)

*Work Environment*

Face-paced kitchen environment with exposure to heat, open flames, sharp tools, and various food allergens. Frequent standing, bending, and lifting required.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $ $18.00 per hour
