Our growing logistics center in Raleigh, North Carolina, is looking for a diligent Material Handler to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in the efficient movement and organization of materials within our warehouse. Your responsibilities will include loading, unloading, stocking, and preparing goods for shipment. A strong focus on Safety, accuracy, and teamwork is essential. You will work with a variety of products and materials, ensuring that our operations run smoothly and effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas.
- Organize and maintain inventory stock in an orderly manner.
- Prepare materials for shipment, including wrapping pallets and labeling boxes.
- Conduct daily inspections of equipment and report any maintenance issues.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all Safety protocols and wearing the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and stock checks.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and productivity of our logistics operations.
- Perform regular Lifting of items, which may involve loads up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Experience operating forklifts or other powered industrial trucks is a significant advantage.
- Ability to perform heavy Lifting tasks safely and consistently.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
