As a Picker/Packer, you will play a vital role in ensuring accurate and timely fulfillment of customer orders. Your primary responsibilities will include accurately picking items from warehouse shelves according to order sheets, packing them securely for shipment, and preparing them for dispatch. This role requires attention to detail, efficiency, and a commitment to maintaining a high level of accuracy. You will work in a fast-paced environment, often involving significant physical activity, including frequent Lifting of boxes and products. Maintaining a safe work environment is paramount; therefore, strict adherence to all Safety guidelines and the consistent use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) are mandatory. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from designated locations within the warehouse using pick lists or scanners.
- Inspect picked items for damage and ensure quality control.
- Pack items securely into appropriate shipping containers, using dunnage and protective materials.
- Label packages accurately with shipping information.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring aisles are clear for safe movement.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including wearing required PPE.
- Meet or exceed performance targets for picking and packing speed and accuracy.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics process.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, picking, packing, or logistics role is a plus.
- Ability to read and understand order forms and product labels.
- Proficiency in using scanning equipment is beneficial.
- Must be able to perform tasks involving frequent Lifting, standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety practices.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic and sometimes physically demanding environment.
