Job Summary:
Join our dynamic logistics team in Kansas City, Missouri, as a Material Handler! We are looking for dedicated individuals to manage the flow of goods within our busy distribution center. This role is essential for maintaining inventory accuracy, ensuring efficient operations, and supporting our shipping and receiving departments. You will be responsible for operating various pieces of warehouse equipment, moving, storing, and organizing materials. Safety is paramount in this role, and adherence to all protocols is mandatory. Responsibilities:
  • Receive, inspect, and properly store incoming materials and finished goods.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling machinery safely and effectively.
  • Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
  • Assist in picking and staging orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Perform regular checks on warehouse equipment and report any issues promptly.
  • Maintain an organized and clutter-free workspace to enhance safety and efficiency.
  • Strictly follow all company safety guidelines and utilize required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Support inventory control activities, including cycle counting and stock rotation.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and meet operational targets.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a material handling or warehouse environment is required.
  • Certification and experience operating forklifts are highly desirable.
  • Must be capable of frequent lifting of up to 60 lbs.
  • Solid understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory management principles.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and adhering to safety best practices.
  • Good physical stamina and coordination.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Reliability and a proactive approach to tasks.
