We are looking for a certified and experienced Forklift Operator to join our bustling logistics hub in Jacksonville, Florida. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials and products within our warehouse. You will operate various types of forklifts, including reach trucks, pallet jacks, and counterbalance forklifts, to load and unload trucks, transport goods to and from storage areas, and assist with order fulfillment. Safety is our top priority, and all operators are expected to strictly adhere to all safety guidelines, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and pre-operational checks on equipment. A keen eye for detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential. You will be an integral part of our supply chain operations, ensuring timely and accurate inventory management and order processing. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement.
- Transport materials and products to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Assist in picking, packing, and staging orders.
- Perform daily inspections of forklift equipment and report any issues immediately.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Utilize RF scanners for inventory tracking and order verification.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, with a focus on safety and compliance.
- Contribute to a positive and productive team environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned, which may involve some manual lifting and material handling.
Requirements:
- Valid Forklift Operator Certification.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Proven knowledge of warehouse operations and safety procedures.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Must be able to work in a team and independently.
- Familiarity with RF scanning technology.
- Commitment to wearing required PPE at all times.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain principles.
